Newspaper design

We help you create and print your newspaper.

You'll find tips to make your pages, spreads and sheets before printing your newspaper.

A page is one side of a folded sheet of paper. Here's an example:

Newspaper finishing lines require a minimum paper thickness. In order to provide a precise fold, we ship 4 pages newspapers grouped by 3.
We also ship 8 pages newspapers grouped by 2 for 500 copies or less.

A spread is two facing pages - one left-hand page and one right-hand page. The central spread is on the same sheet of paper while other spreads are on separate sheets.

Here's an example of spread:

Spreads can be used to make posters. It's called a double-page spread. Artworks can be printed right across the page with no central margin or gutter.

It's possible to print multiple double-page spreads in the same newspaper.
For example, you can print a 12 pages newspaper and pull apart into 6 spreads on 3 sheets.

Here is the detail of a 12 pages newspaper:
Sheet #1 - Front side: Pages 1 and 12
Sheet #1 - Back side: Pages 2 and 11
Sheet #2 - Front side: Pages 3 and 10
Sheet #2 - Back side: Pages 4 and 9
Sheet #3 - Front side: Pages 5 and 8
Sheet #3 - Back side: Pages 6 and 7

To make sure the posters are clean, ensure that the inner edges of each page have no central margin or gutter and that they come together, while maintaining a margin on the outer edges of the spread.
